Yamini bhatia founder of wellness wave

About Us

My name is Yamini Bhatia — a wellness researcher, an Ayurveda enthusiast, and someone who has experienced firsthand the transformative power of natural healing. Behind every article on Wellness Wave is a personal journey that changed the way I understand health forever.
By the time I was in my twenties, I was managing asthma, liver issues, and PCOD simultaneously. I was exhausted — not just physically, but emotionally. I felt like my own body had become a mystery I couldn’t solve. That’s when Ayurveda found me. Or perhaps, I finally found it.
Ayurveda and holistic wellness have always been a way of life in my family — not an alternative, but the foundation. This is the background I come from, and this is what shaped my understanding of health from a very early age. Food Science, natural healing, and Ayurvedic wisdom were never just subjects for me — they were a way of living.
Over the past 7 years, I have dedicated myself to seriously studying and researching both Ayurveda and Food Science. I have taken the time to understand how ancient Ayurvedic methods work and what modern science says about them — studying both approaches together rather than choosing one over the other. This combination of traditional wisdom and nutritional science is the foundation of everything written on Wellness Wave.

My learning has gone far beyond books. I have personally visited Ayurvedic centres and ashrams, stayed there, and experienced a wide range of natural therapies firsthand. From traditional Ayurvedic treatments to hands-on healing practices — I have not just read about these therapies, I have lived them. That experience gave me a depth of understanding that no classroom alone can provide.
When I began applying these principles consistently in my own life — adjusting my diet, my daily routine, and my relationship with food and nature — something shifted. My asthma improved. My liver markers normalized. My PCOD symptoms became manageable in ways no single prescription had achieved. I am not saying Ayurveda is a cure. I am saying it worked for me — and I believe it deserves to be understood, not dismissed. That belief is why Wellness Wave exists.
Wellness Wave is not a one-person journey anymore. My partner, who was once a fitness enthusiast with little interest in Ayurveda, gradually found himself drawn into this world — inspired by the changes he witnessed firsthand. Today, he actively contributes to Wellness Wave — researching, writing, and bringing a fitness perspective to topics where it matters most. Together, we are two people who believe deeply in what we write — because we have lived it.
Every article on Wellness Wave is thoroughly researched — drawing from peer-reviewed studies and trusted sources like NIH, WebMD, and Healthline, as well as classical Ayurvedic texts. We cover everything from Vitamin D deficiency and gut health to oral care, mental well-being, women’s wellness, diets and cancer care — always with the goal of making complex health information simple, practical, and trustworthy.
